eXeLearning2.7

eXeLearning lets educators create interactive educational content in HTML5 and other formats, then assemble it into web-based lessons and resources. It solves the practical task of turning text, media, and activities into structured learning materials that can be shared or delivered digitally.

Developed by eXeLearning, this open-source education application supports websites containing text, images, multimedia clips, image galleries, games, interactive activities, and assessment rubrics. Authors can organize these elements into complete teaching units rather than producing each item as a separate document. Materials can be exported as SCORM, IMS, ePub, responsive HTML websites, or XLIFF files.

Teachers, instructional designers, and training teams can use it for classroom resources, self-paced courses, and online learning packages. Versions of eXeLearning are also available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, while the Snap release is intended for Linux systems.

The current version is 2.7, released on 18 July 2022, and this Snap is no longer maintained. Its Linux Snap requires snapd and runs on x86_64 (amd64) architecture. The Snap does not offer custom browser selection and does not make itself the default application for ELP files; assigning that association also causes ZIP files to open with eXeLearning, so the File - Open command is recommended.
