fedistar lets you view multiple Fediverse timelines side by side in columns on an Apple desktop or laptop. It brings Mastodon, Pleroma, and Friendica into one desktop client, giving users a shared place to follow activity across those services. The multi-column layout keeps separate feeds visible simultaneously, so conversations or streams can be compared without repeatedly changing screens.
A distinctive feature lets you send reactions from other accounts, which is useful for people who manage more than one Fediverse identity. Users can arrange different feeds or account views in parallel when keeping track of several communities, projects, or conversations. Its intended audience is people who use Mastodon, Pleroma, or Friendica for desktop communication and want their activity organized in a single window.
The current release is fedistar 1.13.3 and requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It supports both Intel-based Macs and Apple Silicon systems.
