Free Klondike deals a strategic solitaire experience that merges the open-column planning of FreeCell with the drawing and building rules of classic Klondike. Every card in the columns remains visible, while four individual cells at the top provide temporary places for strategic moves. A deck and discard pile support card draws, only Kings may fill empty columns, and cards from the Ace piles can return to the playing field. Properly stacked sequences may move together, giving the game more tactical options than a standard layout.

The game offers one-card and three-card draw modes, along with Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels. Four cells begin with cards already placed, the board uses four columns, and draw passes are limited to two in one-card mode or three in three-card mode. Hints help when a position becomes difficult, Undo All Moves restores the original layout, and saving on exit lets players resume a game later. Saved statistics track win rates and streaks, while a Top 10 Times scoreboard records fast completions; players can also choose from three card backs and three backgrounds.
