Solve Sudoku puzzles directly on an Android device with LibreSudoku, choosing from 9x9, 6x6, and 12x12 boards. Each board format offers four difficulty levels, giving casual players and experienced solvers different challenges within the same game. Digits can be entered by selecting a number first or choosing a cell first, while pencil marks, undo, pause, reset, and give-up controls accommodate different solving habits.

Mistake checking can flag rule violations as they occur or compare the finished grid with the puzzle’s final solution. The larger 12x12 layout supports zooming and panning so its cells remain workable on a small screen. LibreSudoku tracks best and average solving times, win streaks, started and completed games, and win rate, and it saves unfinished puzzles for later continuation.

Options include automatic removal of notes, remaining-use tracking, highlighting matching numbers, and selectable app themes. Players can also create puzzles manually or from a string in the supported 9x9, 6x6, and 12x12 formats, while included technique tutorials are still an in-progress feature. LibreSudoku runs on Android 8.0 or later for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices. Current version 2.0.2 is built with Jetpack Compose and Material3 and is distributed under an open-source license.
