Build interactive machines, experiments, and playable creations by joining physical parts and testing how they behave together in Principia, rather than progressing through a fixed game format. This physics-based sandbox turns construction into hands-on exploration, with results governed by interactions among its components.

More than 200 objects include wooden blocks, circuitry, and electrical and mechanical parts for assembling contraptions such as controllable cars and calculators. Small robots can be controlled or fought, and robot-centered adventures are among the projects the sandbox supports.

The LuaScript object brings Lua scripting into the game world, allowing creators to combine code with circuitry when building automated systems or their own games. Principia also connects to a community library holding tens of thousands of player-made levels, from elaborate machines to amusing minigames, which can be browsed and played as additional content.

Opening a shared level in the sandbox reveals how it was constructed, making the community material useful for studying designs as well as playing them; the game suits inventive players, hobbyist builders, and experimenters. On Android, version 2026.09.19 is open-source and requires Android 5.0 or later on arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, or x86_64 devices.
