Fruit Radar1.236

Fruit Radar lets you record an edible plant’s location, type, and photograph on your Android phone, then upload that entry to an online map of publicly discoverable foraging spots. It is designed for people who find wild fruit or other edible plants and want to share useful location information with other foragers. Entries can be collected without an Internet connection and uploaded later when connectivity is available.

An integrated map helps you locate plants, while offline access keeps both the map and saved plant information available away from a connection. Nearby-plant notifications can alert you as you approach recorded sources. Plant data can be gathered from FruitMap.org, Mundraub.org, and Na-Ovoce.cz, and new findings can be published to Mundraub.org or Na-Ovoce.cz. Optional storage access lets the app export plants as JSON and retain an app log that can be shared to help investigate crashes.

Camera access supports photographing a find, GPS can fill in its position automatically, Internet access handles map display and uploads, and optional vibration provides nearby-plant alerts. Fruit Radar is open-source software in the Internet & Browsers category for Android, with Universal architecture, and the current release is v1.236. People exploring parks, countryside, or urban spaces can use it to mark edible resources in the field and consult recorded locations on later trips. Its combination of offline field collection, map browsing, and publishing to two plant-sharing services distinguishes it from a simple location note-taking app.
