About
Design a graphical interface for a GNU Octave application without building the entire interface through code by hand. guieditor, developed by Sergio Burgos, provides a visual workspace for creating GUIs and connecting them with Octave applications. From the editor, you can run the applications you are developing and check the result as part of the design process.
The program can generate native scripts from a GUI project, giving the interface an Octave-oriented code output that can be incorporated into an application. It also exports complete projects and can package an application as a GNU Octave toolbox. These project and toolbox outputs make it useful for preserving educational examples, sharing Octave-based interfaces, or preparing reusable application components.
As open-source education software, guieditor is aimed at GNU Octave learners, instructors, and developers who need a visual way to create interface-driven Octave projects. It runs on Linux and requires snapd as part of that environment. The current version is 1.0.3 and targets x86_64 (amd64) systems.
Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: x86_64 (amd64)
