Gurgle lets you solve a hidden word by tapping letters on its on-screen keyboard and submitting each guess with Enter. Green tiles mark letters in the correct positions, yellow tiles identify letters used elsewhere in the word, and grey tiles show letters that are absent. Backspace corrects the current guess, while tapping a slot and then a letter lets you replace a specific character; an external keyboard can also be used. When guesses fill the screen, the board scrolls upward, and a successful answer produces a fanfare and a short message.

Tap any displayed word to look up its meaning, using built-in online Wiktionary or the Aard2 and Quickdic dictionary apps. Long-pressing a current letter locks it so entry and deletion skip that position, while completed guesses offer accented and unaccented letter choices. The Highlight colours setting changes the feedback palette, and toolbar controls provide themes, confetti, fanfare, automatic entry of correct letters, and a default opening word that can be reset.

Refresh clears the board for another round; words are selected randomly from a list and screened against recently used entries. Gurgle can share the current board as an image or share completed guesses with their letters and colours to WordleSolver for choosing a next guess, while an alphanumeric code or QR code lets another copy reproduce the same word sequence. It suits casual solo play and word learners who want built-in definitions, adjustable presentation, or repeatable rounds across devices.

Gurgle is an open-source Android game with universal architecture, and version 1.36 requires Android 5.1 or later while updating the SDK version.
