Trace network paths from a Windows machine and watch how those routes change over time with hopscout, an MTR-compatible network monitor for inspecting traffic paths and network structure. It is useful for network administrators and developers investigating unstable routing, unexpected hops, or differences between observed flows.

Per-flow multipath discovery separates paths associated with individual network flows, helping users compare how traffic reaches the same destination. Path-change alerts draw attention when an observed route changes, while reverse-DNS names, autonomous system numbers, and geolocation details add context to each hop. These capabilities make hopscout useful for diagnosing route behavior and understanding the networks traversed by traffic.

A world map and topology view present the results visually, and users can choose between a terminal user interface and a desktop graphical interface. The command-line interface follows MTR conventions, while generated reports can use report, JSON, or CSV formats for further analysis and record keeping.
