HyleX (Entropy / Hyle 7)1.1.0

Play Chaos against Order in HyleX (Entropy / Hyle 7), an Android adaptation of Eric Solomon’s board game Entropy that follows the style of Entropy and Hyle 7. You can challenge the computer alone, choosing which role to take, instead of completing the original game’s two rounds with a role swap between them. The same device also supports playing both roles, making it practical for two people sharing a phone or tablet.

For opponents in other locations, HyleX supports remote multiplayer and multiple matches, with moves exchanged through ordinary messaging applications or QR codes. This arrangement avoids depending on a central game server while preserving play between people who are not together. Opening a multiplayer App Link contacts hx.jepfa.de to verify the link’s integrity, a check required by Android.

HyleX collects no personalised data and includes no advertising or tracking, so game information remains under the players’ control. It is open-source software for Android 7.0 or later and runs on arm64-v8a devices. Version 1.1.0 is suited to Entropy players, people exploring Hyle 7-style play, and friends who want either an offline computer opponent or correspondence-style matches without a shared game server.
