About
Run Julia programs for scientific and numerical computing with julia-mrcinv, using a language designed to combine dynamic flexibility with performance comparable to traditional statically typed languages. It gives learners, educators, researchers, and technical developers access to Julia for experiments, coursework, data-driven calculations, and computational models.
The package supplies the current stable Julia release as a snap, rather than limiting users to the long-term release that the Julia team currently publishes as an official snap. It is an unofficial snap package, so julia-mrcinv serves as an independent way to obtain and run the language.
Julia can be invoked through the snap, while a Bash alias can make the julia command more convenient to use. Alternatively, the bin/julia script can be placed in a directory on the command path, such as /usr/local/bin.
julia-mrcinv is open-source software for Linux, requires snapd, and targets x86_64 (amd64) systems. Published by Martin Vuk as Education software, its current version is 1.7.1.
Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: x86_64 (amd64)
