About
Use kbcli to control KubeBlocks from a Windows command line, covering platform operations and database-cluster workflows in one interface. It can install, uninstall, inspect the status of, and upgrade KubeBlocks, while also creating, deleting, reconfiguring, backing up, and restoring clusters. The command set is aimed at administrators who need repeatable control over KubeBlocks environments without relying solely on graphical tools.
Its playground feature provides a quick way to try KubeBlocks locally or in the cloud. A playground creates a Kubernetes cluster inside a container with K3d, deploys KubeBlocks into it, and provisions a standalone MySQL cluster for demonstration or evaluation. This makes kbcli useful for KubeBlocks operators, developers testing database deployments, and teams preparing reproducible examples.
Playground use calls for at least four CPU cores and 4 GB of RAM; the accompanying checks use sysctl hw.physicalcpu for processor capacity and top -d for memory. The environment also requires Docker 20.10.5 or newer with runc v1.0.0-rc93 or newer, plus kubectl for interacting with Kubernetes clusters. Contributors can participate in kbcli development through GitHub with an account.
