Keep it up

Keep it up is an open-source Android application for checking whether network services are available and reachable. It belongs to the Internet & Browsers category and is intended for users who need recurring checks on services from an Android device. It creates multiple independent network tasks, with each task assigned to one service and a configurable checking interval.

The application supports Ping, TCP Connect, HTTP and HTTPS Download, and SNMP version 1 or 2c checks. A task can make multiple attempts during each execution, while every result is recorded with its duration. SNMP checks query the system group at each interval and can also monitor individual interfaces, with alerts when an interface changes status. For download checks, files may either be deleted automatically after a successful download or retained.

Keep it up can send notifications when a check fails or when a service goes down or becomes available again. Tasks can be limited to WiFi connections to help avoid unnecessary mobile data use, and suspension intervals can be configured for battery saving. Task settings can be exported and imported as JSON, allowing the configuration to be stored and transferred in that format.

The Android permissions used by the application support restarting active tasks after device boot, checking network access, connecting to the internet, and keeping the device awake while checks run. Foreground service permissions are used for task scheduling, including the Android 14 and later special-use requirement, while exact-alarm permissions start tasks after their configured intervals on supported Android versions.
