Kent Device Enabler feeds measurements from supported Kent Scientific devices directly into LabChart, allowing physiological signals from mice and rats to be recorded in the same environment as other experimental data. Provided by ADInstruments, Kent extends LabChart rather than functioning as a standalone monitoring application. It suits researchers who need animal-monitoring output available alongside their LabChart recordings.

Within LabChart, the enabler automatically detects compatible Kent hardware and configures the relevant channels with appropriate units and measurement ranges. Supported equipment includes PhysioSuite and its MouseSTAT, MouseVent, RightTemp, and CapnoScan components, along with SomnoSuite. Kent can capture device data at the same time as PowerLab data, supporting recording setups that combine Kent Scientific monitoring equipment with PowerLab hardware. Its role centers on device recognition, channel configuration, and synchronized acquisition inside the LabChart workflow.

Kent runs on Windows as an x86 component, and the current release is version 1.2.5400. The Kent 1.2.5 device enabler corrects a rounding problem that appeared with certain Windows regional settings. No new known issues were introduced in this release.
