Khushu1.3.4

Khushu centralizes daily Muslim worship on a Linux device with prayer times, Adhan alerts, Adkar reminders, Quran reading, and a Hijri date dashboard. It calculates Salah times offline using methods such as MWL, ISNA, and Egypt, along with high-latitude and polar estimation options. Locations can be found through OpenStreetMap with minimal data or obtained from GeoClue; system location remains on the device and does not use IP-based lookup.

The app plays the Adhan at prayer time, sends pre-prayer alerts through native desktop notifications, and supports bundled sounds or personal MP3 files. Its Morning, Evening, and Night Adkar features deliver staggered notifications, while an interactive Qibla compass supports prayer preparation. The Noble Quran reader works fully offline, offers Uthmanic Arabic text, bookmarks, reading-position memory, diacritic-aware full-text search, mushaf-style page navigation, and parallel translations in Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and Turkish.

Ayah-by-ayah recitation includes selectable reciters, real-time verse highlighting, and automatic scrolling, with adjustable Arabic and translation typography plus line spacing. A native Libadwaita interface provides adaptive dark mode and system-tray integration, while sensitive settings such as latitude and longitude are stored locally with restricted file permissions and the application uses zero telemetry. It suits Muslims using Linux desktops, tablets, or smartphones for home worship, daily prayer scheduling, Quran study, and remembrance.

The 1.3.4 release follows the introduction of prayer and worship tools, the offline Quran reader, ayah-level recitation, and high-latitude support across earlier releases.
