Kindle Previewer lets authors inspect an eBook’s appearance on a desktop before publishing it. While formatting, they can review the rendered pages and correct layout problems so the finished book looks as intended. Preview controls cover device type, screen orientation, and font size, helping authors check how a book behaves in different reading situations.

The program also displays the latest typographic and layout improvements delivered through Enhanced Typesetting. It is a free, standalone desktop application, while KDP’s Online Previewer provides the same basic preview functions with a different appearance and fewer filter and display options. Authors preparing an eBook for KDP can use that online counterpart to check their work before publication.

Kindle Previewer suits authors, editors, and publishing teams who need to validate formatting during manuscript preparation rather than discover presentation problems after release. Amazon publishes it as System Tools software for Windows, and the current 3.107.0 release targets x64 systems. The current release adds stability improvements and bug fixes, making routine preview sessions more dependable.
