koyu.space3.3

Use koyu.space to communicate through a Mastodon-based community from a native Android app. It connects your community’s server with the wider fediverse, allowing interaction across a network of independently operated services instead of a single centralized infrastructure. People on other Mastodon servers can communicate with users on your server, extending conversations beyond the community’s immediate home.

The app also provides capabilities beyond those available in Mastodon itself. Its code is based on Husky, a fork of Tusky created to support Pleroma’s extensions to the Mastodon API. Tusky is an Android client for Mastodon, while Mastodon uses ActivityPub to link separate servers whose users can interact across organizational boundaries.

koyu.space suits people who participate in federated Mastodon or Pleroma communities and want native Android access to that network. Version 3.3 requires Android 5.0 or newer and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices. It is open-source software, developed as a fork for koyu.space by Vavassor, with Husky’s main development credited to a1batross and Tusky maintained by ConnyDuck.
