Kvaesitso

Kvaesitso is an open-source launcher for Android that replaces the device’s default home screen. It is built from scratch and follows its own design concepts rather than reproducing the Android Open Source Project launcher. The application is intended for Android users who want an alternative way to access apps and information on their device.

Its central feature is a global search interface. Users can search the device for installed apps, contacts, and calendar events, as well as search web services such as Wikipedia or a Nextcloud instance. Search results are designed to provide a direct route to the requested document or information. Kvaesitso also includes a calculator and a unit converter for common utility tasks.

Kvaesitso is available in the System Tools category for Android. MirrorNest distributes the official build directly from its own storage rather than repackaging it, and scans the mirrored build for malware before publishing it. Its open-source license allows it to be used as an alternative Android launcher within that platform.
