About
LabChart lets researchers record physiological signals from multiple devices at the same time and examine them in one workspace as an experiment proceeds. It performs advanced calculations on acquired data and creates plots during recording, allowing numerical analysis and visual inspection to happen alongside signal collection. By bringing separate recording sources into a shared environment, it keeps measurements from different devices together instead of splitting the experiment across unrelated tools.
The software is designed for life-science researchers, physiology laboratories, and anyone acquiring biological signals for an experiment. A typical use involves capturing signals from several recording devices, applying calculations as the session unfolds, and reviewing the resulting plots without leaving the acquisition environment. Its combination of synchronized multi-source recording, live plotting, and physiological analysis distinguishes it from general-purpose graphing software.
ADInstruments publishes LabChart for Windows in the System Tools category. The current release is version 9.0.0400 and uses x86 architecture, so those are the platform details to account for before installation. LabChart’s central value is the continuous workflow connecting device-based signal acquisition with calculation and examination of physiological data.
