About
Build a digital logic circuit by placing predefined gates and other logic items on a workspace, then simulate the result to see how the components behave together. LogikSim lets learners test circuit designs interactively instead of examining logic diagrams only on paper. Its central strength is the direct connection between arranging a circuit and observing its digital behavior.
The software is aimed at students, teachers, and anyone learning the fundamentals of digital electronics through practical experimentation. It fits classroom demonstrations, guided exercises, and individual investigations of how logic components combine to produce an output. The current 2.3.0 release comes from Christian Brugger and is distributed as open-source software.
On Linux, LogikSim requires snapd and runs on x86_64, also called amd64, systems. The same release also provides a Windows x64 executable, with use available for either all users or the current user without administrator rights, plus a portable ZIP package that can be extracted for use from a USB drive. Development contributions are made through GitHub, where contributors create an account.
Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: x86_64 (amd64)
