mcomix-tabetai1.2.1

Open a comic archive or manga volume in mcomix-tabetai and read it through a configurable image viewer built around page-based collections. Its adjustable design lets readers tailor the viewing experience to their preferred way of navigating and displaying comics.

The application reads CBR, CBZ, CB7, CBT, LHA, and PDF files, covering several common comic and document container formats. This means collections can be kept in packaged archives or documents rather than being limited to loose image files. It is intended for people who read comics and manga on a computer and want one application for collections stored in different supported formats.

mcomix-tabetai is published by Const for Linux, with current version 1.2.1 targeting x86_64 (amd64) systems. Running it requires Linux together with snapd, so those are prerequisites for using the program. Its open-source license makes it suitable for readers who prefer an openly developed alternative to closed commercial comic viewers. The combination of format support and customizable viewing makes it useful for everyday reading, organizing a personal comic collection, or opening manga received in different archive types.
