Metashape Standard lets users carry out a photogrammetry pipeline for interactive-media projects on a Windows computer. It brings photogrammetry work into a digital production process used to document, interpret, and present archaeological subjects. The software is also used by companies working with unmanned aerial vehicles, where aerial survey material can become part of the same workflow.

Agisoft develops Metashape Standard for projects in which interactive media is the intended result. Its Standard edition is aimed at this type of work, while the Pro edition is intended for authoring GIS content. That distinction helps teams choose the edition according to whether they are producing interactive media or GIS material.

The current release is version 2.2.2 and runs on x64 Windows systems. It is offered for Windows rather than as a general cross-platform application, and it does not work with the Home N or Pro N editions of Windows. Archaeologists, interactive-media creators, and UAV companies are the clearest audiences, especially when photogrammetry forms one stage of a larger digital production workflow.
