About
Play local music from a folder-based library, with Nagi automatically rescanning when files change. It handles MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG, WAV, AIFF, APE, DSD, M4A, WMA, WavPack and more, while playlists, rule-based smart playlists and M3U export organize listening. Favorites use Ctrl+D and are saved in Nagi’s database without altering the audio files; searchable listening history, an Insights page, configurable song-list columns and Song Info expose play counts, BPM, dates, tags and file details.
The Up Next pane supports reordering, shuffle, repeat and drag-and-drop queuing of files or folders without importing them. More Variety spaces out artists and avoids recent plays, Rediscover selects music not heard in 30 days, Unheard finds tracks never played, and Play for… creates a queue for a chosen duration. Lyrics can come from embedded tags, LRC files or optional online providers, with synced lines available for seeking and downloadable packs for local Japanese, Korean and Hindi romanization. A 10-band equalizer, preamp, locally measured ReplayGain normalization, pitch-preserving 0.5×–2× speed control and configurable sleep timers cover playback refinement.
The resizable mini-player, Fluent WinUI 3 interface, album-art-colored Mica, Mica Alt and Acrylic backdrops, tray popup, media keys, system media controls, taskbar thumbnail buttons and jump-list actions give Nagi flexible desktop access. Optional online features, disabled by default, include Last.fm and ListenBrainz scrobbling with offline queuing, artwork and artist information from MusicBrainz, Wikipedia, Cover Art Archive, fanart.tv, TheAudioDB, Deezer, Apple Music and Last.fm, plus lyrics from LRCLIB and NetEase. Version 2 by Anthonyy232 is open-source for Windows 10 1809 or later, Windows Server 2019 or later, and x64 systems; source builds use Visual Studio 2026 18.0 or later with .NET Desktop Development and Universal Windows Platform workloads, the .NET 10 SDK 10.0.401 or later, and ffmpeg on PATH for loudness tests and scan benchmarks.
