About
News CLI gathers developer news from supported programming-language feeds and blogs, then lets you monitor it directly from a command-line interface. It gives terminal users a quick way to check updates without manually visiting multiple sources.
The interface presents articles in a Markdown-like format and includes search across the available news list. It can open a selected item in a browser instead of displaying it in the terminal, while video-based news can be opened through YouTube. Built-in AI summaries help condense individual items before you decide what to read.
The tool is intended for developers, students, and technical users who want a focused terminal-based news reader during coding sessions or routine technology checks. It includes news coverage for Python, Go, Rust, C++, and PHP, with support for news from many languages and blogs.
News CLI is published by Jonathan Alcantar under the Atticus64 name and is open-source. The current version is 1.3.0; the Windows build supports Windows 8 and later plus Server 2012 and later on x64 systems, while the project also describes support for Linux and Mac.
Requires Windows 8+ · Server 2012+ · Architecture: x64
