About

Design DynamoDB tables, test data access patterns, and run database operations from NoSQL Workbench’s visual desktop interface. This client-side GUI supports modern database development and operations by bringing modeling, visualization, query development, and management into one workspace.

Start a project from scratch or adapt a sample project for a particular use case, then define tables, Global Secondary Indexes, attributes, and sample data. Access patterns can be represented as real DynamoDB operations such as PutItem, UpdateItem, and Query, and executed against the configured sample data for validation. Projects keep related models and experiments organized while the visual model helps connect table design with the operations an application will perform.

The structured operation builder supports projection and condition expressions, generates example code in multiple languages, and lets developers inspect, explore, and query live datasets. It can also clone tables between Amazon DynamoDB accounts in different Regions, making it useful for development, testing, data exploration, and operational work. DynamoDB Developer Experience publishes it for Windows x64 as version 3.20.5, while the cross-platform edition also runs on macOS and Linux.

DynamoDB Local can be included as an optional part of installation, giving developers a local environment for modeling and testing DynamoDB data. The application suits developers and database designers who need to experiment with schemas and access patterns visually before applying operations to live DynamoDB datasets.
