OmniConsole turns Windows 11 PCs and handhelds into a controller-centered home shell for XBOX Mode (FSE), launching your chosen gaming platform when that mode starts. Its OmniCharm Game Bar widget and Steam shortcuts keep key actions accessible, while Nekomata Mode converts a gamepad into a keyboard and mouse with controls tailored for each app.

You can set Steam, the XBOX App, Epic Games Store, Armoury Crate SE, Playnite, or another added platform as the XBOX Mode Home. With “Enter XBOX mode (FSE) on startup” enabled, that platform opens when Windows boots; during use, the XBOX button followed by Home launches it, while Library opens OmniConsole Settings. Starting OmniConsole from the desktop triggers the XBOX Mode entry dialog, where Advanced settings offer Ask every time, Restart for optimized performance, or Start now without performance changes.

Experimental custom-platform support accepts a Protocol URI, executable path, or packaged MSIX/APPX app, with optional cover art and launch arguments for executable entries. Community platform definitions can be searched by name or submitter, previewed with their covers and launch details, and added from GitHub inside the application. A controller-compatible file picker handles executable and cover-image selection instead of the system picker, while Browse (Windows) provides the standard Windows alternative.
