ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors is an open-source productivity suite for Linux. It provides tools for creating, viewing, and editing text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, and PDF forms, along with a Diagram Viewer. The desktop application is intended for Linux users who work with office files on a local computer and need access without an Internet connection.

The suite supports Office Open XML formats, including .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx. A tab-based interface lets users handle multiple files in the same window. Password protection and digital signatures provide file-handling options for work that requires added security. Interface themes offer different visual settings, while plugins can add functions such as image and photo editing, code highlighting, and conversion to Markdown or HTML.

ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors also supports AI integration through connections to local or cloud-based AI models. AI features can be used for chatbot requests, translation, OCR, and generating new files. AI agents can list folder contents, preview file details without opening them in the editor, and auto-fill forms with supplied data.

Although designed for offline work, the application can connect to cloud services for online document collaboration. Supported options include ONLYOFFICE cloud, Moodle, Nextcloud, Seafile, ownCloud, kDrive, and Liferay.
