OpenSearch SQL ODBC Driver1.1.0.1

It connects ODBC-capable applications to OpenSearch SQL, allowing users to retrieve OpenSearch data through a standard database connectivity interface instead of creating a separate connection for each application. OpenSearch SQL ODBC Driver presents OpenSearch as a queryable data source for client software that communicates through ODBC, enabling SQL-oriented tools to send requests and receive results through the driver. Its read-only design supports data inspection and analysis while preventing inserts, updates, and deletions through the connection.

ODBC provides the application-facing connection layer, while the driver carries database requests between the client application and OpenSearch SQL. This makes it suitable for analysts and developers who need to examine OpenSearch indexes from an existing ODBC-based workflow, reporting utility, or SQL client. The read-only boundary is especially relevant for query and reporting scenarios where the underlying OpenSearch data must remain unchanged.

Amazon publishes the driver for Windows and Mac, with the Windows build using x64 architecture. The current version is 1.1.0.1. It connects to OpenSearch SQL support rather than supplying an OpenSearch data store itself, so its role is focused on giving compatible applications access to query results from that service.
