OpenTopoMap Viewer displays online topographic maps on Android, follows the device location, and lets you return to it quickly while caching map tiles for later use. It supports OpenTopoMap, OpenTopoMap-R, Top-O-Map, OpenStreetMap, OpenHikingMap and Freemap.sk raster bases, plus Waymarked Trails overlays for hiking and cycling. Compass or GPS bearing can rotate the map, and tap actions can enable fullscreen, keep the screen on, or apply maximum-zoom settings.

Open GPX files to view tracks, routes and waypoints, zoom to their content, inspect distance, elevation profiles, descriptions and waypoint details, and choose a track color. KML and KMZ imports can also be displayed and fitted to their contents, while imported GPX or KML data can be removed directly from the map. Location details include coordinates and GPS/NMEA elevation, with an optional ORS elevation lookup.

Long-pressing the map creates persistent markers that can be named, described, recolored, moved or deleted, with optional labels governed by a minimum zoom level. Markers can be imported or exported as GPX waypoints, including bulk selection and deletion, and nearby Wikipedia places can be browsed and placed on the map. With an OpenRouteService API key configured, place search offers debounced autocomplete, selected results become editable markers, and markers can serve as waypoints for recalculating routes after additions, removals or drags. Routing profiles cover car, truck, several bicycle types, walking, hiking and wheelchair travel; calculated routes appear as GPX with route details and elevation data.

Offline use includes importing an OpenTopoMap tile ZIP that follows the required archive layout and workflow, into a cache whose location and maximum size can be set. Light or dark themes and English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch interfaces support varied preferences. Version 1.38 runs on Android 7.0 or later for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64 and x86 devices; routing, elevation and place search use the ORS Android Client.
