OsmAnd — Maps & GPS Offline lets Android users download OpenStreetMap-based maps, add notes, and follow GPS routes when an internet connection is unavailable. It searches for places by address, name, coordinates, or category, while map layers can highlight attractions, food, health services, and other selected points of interest. Styles are available for touring, nautical travel, winter and skiing, topographic viewing, desert travel, and off-road navigation.

Relief shading, optional contour-line plug-ins, and overlays from different map sources add terrain detail, while a compass, radius ruler, night theme, Wikipedia integration, and Mapillary interface provide extra context. Offline routing can account for preferred roads, vehicle dimensions, and inclines, with profiles for cars, motorcycles, bicycles, four-wheel-drive vehicles, pedestrians, boats, public transport, and other activities. Users can exclude particular roads or surfaces, display distance, speed, remaining travel time, and next-turn widgets, and switch between Standard and Fast routing.

Routes can be constructed point by point, recorded as GPX tracks, imported or viewed on the map, followed during navigation, and checked for distance and ascent or descent. Favorites, markers, and audio or video notes support trip organization, while OpenStreetMap editing, GPX sharing, and map updates as frequent as hourly serve active map contributors; documentation, support, and a worldwide user community are also available. The app gives users control over data access and states that it does not collect user data.

Version 5.3.10 refreshes search with sorting, category filters, and a cleaner interface, adds media attachments and subgroups for Favorites, and introduces pinnable Favorite folders.
