Password Depot Enterprise Server 1818.1.1

Share password databases from a central server, allowing multiple people to use the credentials they are authorized to access. Password Depot Enterprise Server 18, published by AceBIT GmbH, is a System Tools product that extends Password Depot with centrally stored databases and user-specific permissions. It is intended for organizations that need controlled access to shared passwords without giving every employee the same view or rights.

The Windows desktop client provides the normal connection to the Enterprise Server, while administrators configure it through the separate Server Manager. Server Manager can create databases, add individual users and groups, and grant access to an entire database or only selected sections. Different users can therefore work in the same database while receiving distinct permissions and views.

The server can run on a computer in a local network or be hosted in the cloud through Azure. Connecting users supply the server address, port, and their access details, then authenticate with a local username and password, Integrated Windows Authentication, or Azure AD/OIDC Authentication. Administrative controls include SSL certificates, two-factor authentication, event notifications, and global server policies, while authorized users can open and edit the available databases through the client.

The current x64 Windows version 18.1.1 fixes an issue that could erase a user’s AD logon name during automatic synchronization. It also adds TOTP-code support on the HTTPS server for shared links, alongside interface improvements and minor bug fixes.
