PhotoWorks lets users correct exposure, contrast, and color in photographs with single-click adjustments instead of relying on professional editing experience. Its AI-driven enhancement tools are designed for both portraits and landscapes, while automatic retouching can remove acne, scars, and wrinkles or reshape facial features such as the eyes, nose, lips, and face. Users can also change, remove, or make a background transparent, which is useful for collages and for changing the mood of an image.

The editor includes more than 200 one-click artistic effects, including retro, HDR, and color splash styles, along with 3D LUT presets. Manual controls use draggable sliders, so photographers can fine-tune an image without prior experience with photo software. Crop presets based on the Rule of Thirds and Golden Ratio help balance composition, while a slider corrects barrel and pincushion distortion. The Healing Brush removes small distractions, and the Clone Stamp handles larger unwanted objects, photo bombers, and date stamps.

PhotoWorks suits home photographers, portrait shooters, and anyone who wants to improve everyday pictures on a computer. It can blur a background for a dream-like result, isolate a subject for a collage, or replace the background entirely. The program also opens RAW files from more than 450 camera models, with support for newer cameras added in updates.
