Plots0.8.5

Plot mathematical formulae as visual graphs, turning written relationships into curves that can be examined directly. Plots helps learners and other mathematics users understand how changing expressions relates to changing shapes, rather than relying only on symbolic calculations. It is suited to exploring equations during study, teaching, or informal investigation of mathematical relationships.

The expression engine covers basic arithmetic alongside trigonometric, hyperbolic, exponential, and logarithmic functions. It also supports arbitrary sums and products, so users can represent expressions that extend beyond elementary operations. Graphs may use polar equations or implicit and explicit Cartesian equations, allowing different mathematical descriptions of curves to be visualized. These modes are useful for comparing how coordinate systems and equation types express the same kinds of relationships.

Designed to fit the GNOME desktop, Plots uses OpenGL to render visualizations through modern graphics hardware. The open-source Linux education application is developed by Soumyadeep Ghosh. Version 0.8.5 requires Linux with snapd and runs on x86_64, also known as amd64, systems.
