PocketCheck

PocketCheck periodically asks whether anything in your pocket needs to be returned, put away, or finished, so you are prompted without having to remember to check a list yourself. It serves as a working-memory aid for people who leave borrowed objects in the wrong place, forget tasks, or abandon jobs halfway through. It suits everyday routines such as leaving home with borrowed items, moving between work areas, or keeping track of unfinished errands.

Users can register items with names and notes, or capture a photo to create an entry quickly. A toggle records each task’s status, active tasks receive a distinct visual treatment, and swipe gestures delete or archive entries while drag and drop changes their order. The app sends periodic reminders with the prompt Anything to put in your pocket; tapping Yes opens the app, while tapping No dismisses the reminder, and repeated alerts remain consolidated as one notification. Reminder intervals and quiet hours can be adjusted to fit the user’s routine.

When active tasks exist, PocketCheck maintains a silent, non-dismissible notification that stays visible and displays those tasks. It runs completely offline, keeps data on the device, uses no accounts or tracking, and does not require Google Services.
