Adjust the lighting and hardware behavior of Razer keyboards, mice, keypads, headsets, laptops, mouse mats, and other supported peripherals from one desktop interface. Polychromatic acts as a graphical front end for OpenRazer, exposing the effects and controls provided by each device’s firmware.

It can change DPI, polling rate, brightness, and device-specific options such as Game Mode, while also displaying firmware versions, serial numbers, and battery levels. An LED tester addresses individually controllable LEDs, and the built-in effect editor lets you design custom lighting patterns and animations. Settings can be changed quickly from the desktop system tray, and the software supports more than 210 devices, including keyboards, mice, mouse mats, and headsets.

Gamers can use it to map keys for a particular game or application, while others may create animated lighting for an ambient desktop setup. It is intended for GNU/Linux users who want to manage compatible Razer hardware locally, with support for additional brands planned for the future.
