Open a shell, run commands, and keep several command sessions organized in tabs or split panes with Tabby. It serves as a terminal emulator for local work and remote administration, giving developers, system administrators, and other command-line users one place to interact with Linux systems. Profiles let you save connection and terminal settings, while pane labels make it easier to distinguish parallel tasks.

Remote sessions use SSH, including public-key and keyboard-interactive authentication, and Tabby can draw credentials from its keychain and vault. Split views are useful for comparing logs, monitoring a process beside another session, or working on multiple hosts at once. Local terminal use also includes mouse scrolling in Windows text-based interfaces, with an input fix that gates fcitx handling on keydown.
