About

Build and run simulation models that represent real operations, systems, and decision scenarios with AnyLogic Professional. The software is a Java-based modeling environment that lets users examine how a process behaves over time before changing the real-world operation. Its defining capability is support for three simulation approaches: agent-based modeling, discrete-event simulation, and system dynamics.

Agent-based models represent individual people, vehicles, machines, or organizations and show how their interactions produce larger patterns. Discrete-event models describe processes as ordered activities and events, making them useful for queues, workflows, capacity planning, and logistics. System-dynamics models track stocks, flows, feedback, and accumulations to explore longer-term changes in business, industrial, or social systems.

Users can construct models, run experiments with different assumptions, and compare outcomes to evaluate policies, layouts, schedules, and resource decisions. The multimethod design also allows a model to connect individual behavior with process logic and high-level feedback, rather than forcing every problem into one modeling style. It is suited to operations researchers, engineers, planners, analysts, and educators working on supply chains, manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, or other complex systems. AnyLogic North America publishes version 8.9.10 for x64 Windows systems.
