Revolution IRC0.5.5

Connect to IRC networks from a phone or tablet with Revolution IRC, joining channels and exchanging messages through a focused mobile client. Its modern Material design, background operation, and local storage for chat history make ongoing conversations easy to follow.

While text is being entered, autocomplete suggests nicknames, channel names, and commands, and the client renders mIRC color formatting. An ignore list lets users filter unwanted chat content. Revolution IRC can retain SSL certificate exceptions and run chosen commands automatically after connecting. Custom command aliases, notification rules, and an adjustable reconnection interval provide further control over how it reacts to network activity. Options for chat fonts, message formatting, and application colors allow the interface and conversation display to be personalized.

It suits IRC regulars, channel participants, and mobile users who need to stay connected while away from a desktop, including situations where background activity and saved history are useful. Version 0.5.5 is open-source software for Android 4.2 and later, using Universal architecture. The project remains unfinished, so some functionality may still be absent, and issues are intended to be reported through its GitHub project.
