Robo3T lets you manage MongoDB databases by combining graphical controls with direct commands entered in the database shell. It places the actual mongo shell inside a tabbed interface, so you can run shell commands and carry out GUI-driven tasks in the same workspace. This shell-centered design addresses the split between command-line database work and administration through a separate graphical layer.

Formerly called Robomongo, Robo3T is intended for developers, database administrators, and other MongoDB users who prefer working from the shell while retaining visual interaction. Typical uses include inspecting and managing MongoDB data through shell commands, then using the GUI when an interactive graphical view is more convenient. The tabs keep shell access organized alongside GUI interaction.

Published by 3T Software Labs Ltd, the Windows edition is Robo3T 1.4.4 for x64 systems and belongs to the System Tools category. The current release adds support for MongoDB’s Standard Connection String Format, also called a Mongo URI. It also fixes a Windows-only welcome-tab problem in which new content failed to load by disabling or bypassing the HTTP cache; the same cache-related fix applies on macOS.
