About

SDR# tunes Windows computers to radio signals, turning software-defined radio receivers into a live workspace for acquiring, examining, navigating, and demodulating broadcasts. It supports listening, signal monitoring, and technical radio work instead of requiring separate tools for each stage of receiving. Radio listeners, experimenters, telecommunications professionals, and operations teams—including those monitoring strategic mining sites—can use it to inspect activity across the spectrum.

AirSpy closely associates SDR# with its own radios, while the package also supports RTL-SDR dongles and other compatible receivers. Included components provide Airspy SDR and SpyServer drivers, AOR IQ support for the AR5700D, AR2300IQ, AR5001D and AR6000 with the IQ5001 option, RFSPACE networked SDR support for Net-SDR, SDR-IP, and CloudSDR, plus an RTL-SDR Blog driver installation script.

The current Windows release is version 1.0.0.1921, and its 64-bit production build is intended to deliver higher performance on capable computers; some older plugins may not function with it. AirSpy also publishes development builds at revision 1922 for x86 and x64, with the x64 beta carrying minimal driver and plugin support for stability checks. The associated SDK targets plugin developers and requires the .NET 9 Windows x86 SDK and Visual Studio 2022.

Published by AirSpy in the System Tools category, SDR# is offered as free software for Windows. Its plugin-oriented design makes receiver drivers and specialist extensions central to setups built around Airspy, RTL-SDR, AOR, or RFSPACE hardware.
