Seanime Desktop

Seanime Desktop is an open-source media server for Windows with both a desktop app and a web interface. It is designed for watching anime, reading manga, and managing a local media library. The product brings these activities together in one tool for users who want to organize and access their own anime and manga content.

Its library management features support keeping local media arranged within the application. Seanime Desktop also provides transcoding for media playback and supports downloading and streaming through Bittorrent or Debrid services. These functions give users different ways to work with content connected to their library.

The application includes offline viewing, allowing supported content to be used without an active connection. Its combination of viewing, reading, downloading, and library tools places it in the media server and personal media management category. The web interface can be used as part of the same system as the Windows desktop app.

Seanime Desktop is distributed through MirrorNest as a mirror of the official build. MirrorNest stores that build on its own infrastructure and scans it for malware before publishing it. This distribution setup gives Windows users an additional way to obtain the open-source application while keeping the source build represented directly.
