Sentinel3.1.4

Sentinel lets Mac users change how Gatekeeper handles applications, giving them direct control over a system setting that affects application handling. It can remove an app’s quarantine status and apply a self-signature to apps that need a locally recognized signing identity. Its controls also center on the security status assigned to applications by the system.

These capabilities are useful when Gatekeeper settings interfere with opening software, when an app retains a quarantine flag, or when a user needs to self-sign an application for local use. Sentinel is intended for Mac users who need to manage application security behavior directly rather than rely only on the system’s default handling. It brings these operations together in a focused utility for adjusting how individual apps are treated.

Sentinel is freeware in the Security & Privacy category, and the current version is 3.1.4. It requires macOS 13 Ventura or later and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The software is the regular Mac edition rather than a separately modified variant.
