Session F-Droid

Session F-Droid is an unofficial rebrand of Session for Android. It is an open-source private messenger in the Internet & Browsers category. The application uses Session’s messaging approach, which is based on encrypted communication through a distributed network of user-operated servers.

Accounts can be created without a phone number or email address, using a Session ID instead. Session provides private, end-to-end encrypted conversations and does not expose a user’s IP address to the person they are contacting or to the servers holding their data. As this is an unofficial rebrand without Firebase push service, its fast mode cannot be enabled; users who require that mode should use the official Session client from its own repository.
