Explore dangerous dungeons, defeat enemies, gather equipment, and guide a hero through a role-playing adventure on Android. Every run reshuffles the levels, enemies, rooms, items, traps, and route through the dungeon, so each attempt presents a different challenge. Its basic rules are easy to learn, but mastering encounters, resources, and character development takes practice.

Six heroes offer distinct play styles: the durable Warrior, deadly Duelist, arcane Mage, divine Cleric, stealth-focused Rogue, and terrain-aware Huntress. Runs award talent points, unlock subclasses, and lead to stronger abilities, such as a dual-wielding Champion, a Paladin, or a Sniper. These choices make the game suitable for players seeking repeatable dungeon-crawling role-playing sessions with different tactical approaches.

Players find equipment and collect or craft consumable items while contending with hazards and bosses in sewers, caves, prisons, and a fallen dwarven city. Weapons and other equipment can be enchanted, upgraded, and augmented, while wands, rings, artifacts, and trinkets add damage, defense, or utility effects. The changing dungeon layouts and item combinations encourage experimentation from one attempt to the next.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is open-source and currently at version 4.0.2, with new content released roughly every three months. It requires Android 5.0 or later and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures.
