Slauncher0.1.4

Slauncher gives an Android device a pared-back home screen designed to reduce distractions and screen time. Set as the device’s launcher, it provides a simpler starting point for opening apps and handling everyday actions. Its minimal interface keeps the home experience clean and avoids the visual clutter common in more feature-heavy launchers.

The home screen includes a minimal media-player widget, letting users play media without opening a separate player interface. Settings also provide custom font selection, so the launcher’s text can be adjusted to match personal preferences. The launcher contains no advertising, keeping its interface free of promotional elements.

Slauncher suits people who want a calmer starting point, including users simplifying an older phone or reducing habitual app checking. It is a System Tools application for Android devices running version 7.0 or later, and its Universal architecture supports the relevant device builds. Version v0.1.4 is distributed as open-source software under the GNU General Public License v3 (GPLv3).

The project was forked from and inspired by tanujnotes/olauncher, but it omits that launcher’s daily wallpapers feature. This makes Slauncher distinct for users who want the minimal launcher experience without wallpaper rotation included in the original project.
