MirrorNest

Spirometry

This extension derives a number of respiratory parameters based on flow and volume, including VE, VT, frequency, PIF, PEF, FVC, FEV1. This extension also generates a flow-volume plot and spirometry reports.

About

Spirometry is a Windows extension for deriving respiratory parameters from flow and volume data. It is intended for users who need to examine spirometry-related measurements rather than only view the original flow and volume values. This makes it relevant to people working with respiratory testing data, although the available information does not specify a narrower professional audience. Its purpose is to turn supplied measurements into calculated values and visual and report outputs.

The extension calculates VE, VT, frequency, PIF, PEF, FVC, and FEV1. These values are respiratory parameters derived from the flow and volume information provided to the extension. It also creates a flow-volume plot, giving the results a graphical form for review. In addition, it generates spirometry reports as an output of the analysis.

As a Windows product, Spirometry fits a download catalog category for software that supports respiratory measurement analysis on that platform. MirrorNest does not host a mirrored copy of the extension. Instead, its listing links directly to the official release, providing a route to the source distribution. The license is unknown, so the catalog entry does not establish usage or redistribution terms beyond identifying the official release.

What's new in v2.5.3400

Two new settings can now be changed in the Spirometry settings dialog: - Users can select flow units which can be selected as either uL/s, mL/s or L/s. This is useful for work with smaller animals. - Users can now apply a noise floor clamp to the selected flow channel that can be used to remove small positive or negative offsets in the flow signal.
