Status IM - Legacy2.34.4

Status IM - Legacy lets you hold private conversations while sending, storing, and exchanging Ethereum-based digital assets from the same Android app. Its pseudonymous messenger supports encrypted one-to-one and group chats for friends, communities, artists, traders, and organizations. End-to-end encryption protects every message, while decentralized message relays prevent anyone, including Status, from seeing both the speaker and intended recipient or reading the conversation.

The integrated wallet handles ETH, SNT, DAI and other stablecoins, along with ERC-721 and ERC-1155 collectibles. It supports Ethereum Mainnet, Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism, but its asset support is limited to ETH, ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 tokens, excluding Bitcoin. Users can also put assets to work through decentralized finance applications and exchanges such as Maker, Aave, Uniswap, Synthetix, PoolTogether, Zerion, and Kyber.

Communities can use Status for ongoing text discussion, from small private groups to larger Web3 organizations, while the wallet provides direct control over transactions. Account creation is pseudonymous and free, with no phone number, email address, or bank account entered; wallet keys are generated locally and stored so access to funds remains with the user. Version 2.34.4 runs on Android 7.0 or newer across arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures, and the software is open-source.
