Text Launcher1.4.1

Text Launcher replaces a conventional Android home screen with a lightweight list of installed applications, letting you open an app by selecting its name. Instead of icons or other visual elements, it presents each available application as text in a focused, name-based interface. The display avoids loading images, application data, or other additional content, keeping the launcher limited to app names.

This design suits Android users who prefer choosing software by reading its name rather than navigating a visual layout. It can serve as the device’s everyday launcher when a minimal home screen and a direct route to installed apps are more useful than visual presentation.

Text Launcher provides an alternative way to access applications while keeping its interface deliberately narrow and straightforward. Its main distinction is this text-only approach: the launcher concentrates on listing available app names rather than presenting imagery or data-heavy elements.

Text Launcher runs on Android and is open-source, with its source available under the accompanying license. Version 1.4.1 uses Universal architecture, and the current release updates the build tools.
