Threema Libre

Threema Libre is an open-source messaging application for Android in the Internet & Browsers category. It is intended for people who want to exchange messages, files, and calls from an Android device. The application supports individual conversations as well as group communication.

Chats include emoji reactions, message editing, and an option to delete sent messages for chat partners. Users can create groups and polls, share their location, and send files including PDF, GIF, MP3, and ZIP formats. Encrypted voice calls, video calls, and group calls are supported. Light and dark display modes provide two presentation options, while a desktop application and web client allow conversations to be continued from a computer.

Threema Libre contains no ads, trackers, or data collection. Its servers are located in Switzerland, and messages are deleted from the server immediately after delivery. Contacts can be verified by scanning their QR codes, and the open-source project undergoes regular audits.

MirrorNest provides Threema Libre for Android by mirroring the official build directly onto its own storage. The mirrored file is scanned for malware before publication. Unlike the version distributed through Google Play, this edition contains no proprietary libraries or components such as Google Play Services.
