Threema Libre6.5.3l

Exchange private messages, files, and calls from a mobile device, either in one-to-one conversations or group chats. Groups can include polls and location sharing, while file transfers support PDF, GIF, MP3, and ZIP files. Chat controls include emoji reactions, message editing, and deleting a sent message for the people in the conversation.

Encrypted voice calls, video calls, and group calls support live communication alongside text messaging. Light and dark display modes change the conversation interface to suit different viewing preferences. A desktop application and web client let users continue their conversations from a computer.

Contacts can be verified by scanning their QR codes, adding a direct way to confirm identities. Threema’s servers are located in Switzerland, and messages are removed from them immediately after delivery; the service contains no ads, trackers, or data collection. Unlike the Google Play edition, this version contains no proprietary libraries or components, including Google Play Services.

The open-source release is categorized under Internet & Browsers and requires Android 7.0 or later. It supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures. Version 6.5.3l fixes a camera bug that could occur when rotating the smartphone and includes further improvements and bug fixes.
