About

Trusted QSL digitally signs Amateur Radio QSO records so operators can submit contact logs with verifiable station credentials. It addresses the problem of proving the origin and integrity of electronic QSL information when records are exchanged or submitted to online verification services.

The software manages station identities and signing certificates, associates those credentials with operating locations, and applies the resulting signatures to amateur radio log files. It can also inspect signed records and verify their signatures, helping users detect whether QSO information matches the certificate used to sign it. Operators commonly use Trusted QSL to prepare logs for Logbook of The World and other workflows that accept digitally authenticated QSL data.

Amateur radio operators, contesters, and logging-system users can use it after a contact session to certify a batch of QSOs rather than treating the log as an unsigned text file. Its desktop tools are complemented by open-source libraries and utilities intended to support digital signatures for Amateur Radio QSL information, making it useful both for ordinary station operation and for software-assisted logging workflows.

Trusted QSL is published by the American Radio Relay League and runs on Windows for x86 systems. Version 2.8.1 is the current release, and the project’s open-source components form a notable part of its implementation.
